The Honing Process

 

Power Pin Instructions

1.  If the vehicle is equipped with an automatic transmission, first remove the TPS from the AFC cover atop the injection pump.

2.  Loosen the 12mm bolt on the backside of the AFC housing.

3.  Remove the 4 cap screw on top of the AFC cover, and remove cover.
4.  Remove diaphragm by gently turning and lifting.
5.  Do not reuse the stock nylon washer, a new washer that is the proper thickness is included with the Power Pin.
6.  Using (2) 10mm end wrenches, remove the diaphragm and washers from the stock fuel pin.
7.  Install the diaphragm and washers on the new Power Pin.  Be sure to locate the punch mark on the top washer so that it is exactly in line with the face of the cut on the pin.
8.  Slide the new included washer over the Power Pin.
9.  Lubricate the Power Pin.
10.  Install the Power Pin and spring in the injection pump so that the punch mark is facing 9 o’clock when looking at it from the driver’s side, or towards the front of the truck.
11.  Reassemble all other parts in reverse order.
12.  Go for a drive and enjoy the extra power!!!
