It will increase your performance as well as your fuel mileage. I don't understand how it operates because when I put demand on the truck it makes my engine rev up and then the truck hauls butt to catch up with the engine. It almost sounds like my clutch is slipping but it isn't. This is my first diesel and first chip ever. Its easy to use and works good while your foot is not planted off in it. My p/u is a 6 spd and I know the clutch is good, shucks, it will smoke tires in 3rd and 4th gear but then the slipping sound comes in 5th and 6th and it starts at about 1900 rpm, the truck is steady pulling ahead during but watch the tach and notice! If you are looking for fuel mileage, its great.
